[Mae walks up in a bed. That alone is enough to set off alarm bells. She remembers very distinctly going to sleep last night, leaning against a half destroyed wall with a dog next to her. And considering how...well non destroyed the room was looking....

She very quickly snuck out of bed and started to look around the house. Grabbing a baseball bat from the small boy's room as she went. Never hurt to have a weapon when you've been kidnapped. She looks outside.

......well this wasn't good. She quickly goes back inside and get's dressed, interogates some drones and locates the phone.]

Dr. Braun, if you're there. We need to talk because I'm pretty sure being back in this place is impossible considering everyone died last time.

[And with that she hangs up. She's sure if he is behind this...and who else would be? It's just like last time...though she admits it's ...different and slightly more impossible...that if he was behind it, he'd be calling back to gloat at any moment. Until then.

Mayfield there is a woman wandering around carrying a baseball bat like a weapon. You can find her.

A. On her lawn examining the grass, or her arm. They...feel more real then the simulation. But there's also colour here, so maybe it's just a tech upgrade.

B. Going through your mailbox or garbage can. Hey, who knows what valuables you might have thrown away....like this bottle cap, score!

C. Interrogating young drone girls at the playground. Seriously, which one of you is in charge here?

D. Looking through windows of peoples houses to see if they're abandoned. Aka: where the hell is the failsafe to this place]

Primarily because this entire town continually kills, resurrects, and pits the population against one another.

So, are you living with anyone actually sentient at present, or just drones?

Some guy who says he's a superhero and two little drone kids.

Certainly. The hardware store, but women can't buy one. If you ask Booster, he will probably purchase one for you. The man is quite helpful, if foolish. If you need marksmanship training myself or Red, at the Rec Center will be glad to assist you.

And why can't women buy one?

[Rolls her eyes and folds her arms. Really?]

And I know how to shoot a gun.

I wish I knew. It is some dictate of the town's governing social... mores? Philosophy? I'm not sure. I just know the drones will not let you buy one.

[Garviel obliviousness go.]

Very good. Everyone of a certain age should understand how, for self defense if nothing else.

I was only trying to be helpful, you know.

What sort of firearms are you proficient with anyway? This place has rather... primitive technology compared to what I am used to.

Of course you are.

I'm better with small weapons, like an assault rifle, .44 magnum, stuff like that. But I'm decent with the bigger stuff, sniper rifle all that.

Probably could use some work with energy or plasma rifles and the like.

But I like surviving. If I need to I'll just use whatever I find laying about.

Then sadly you will find the selection here very limited. Only bolt-action rifles, a few autopistols, the occasional shotgun. Occasionally you'll receive a piece of gear from home which will prove more useful, like this..

[he thumps a hand against the plastron of his armor.] Mark IV Astartes Battle-plate.

[He nods.] Survival is a good goal. I would also suggest giving some consideration to blending in and keeping the town from taking your mind. You may be assigned a job, and if you do not attend the job regularly the town can briefly "drone" you and force you to do it. I try to avoid that sort of thing happening for survival reasons. Drones can't really defend themselves, and there are malicious people in this town who'll commit murder for no real reason at all.

[He fishes around in a pouch of his armor.] Has anyone given you the pamphlet, yet?

[Just taking that all in.]

Oh wow, sounds just like the wasteland then.

Uh, I think so? Is there more then one?

Well, not that I am aware of, only the one that Dist the Rose publishes.

[He looks at her with interest when she mentions the wasteland.] Is that where you are from, then? A wasteland?

Then yeah, I think my neighbour gave it to me.

[She pulls out a pamphlet. Yup, there it is. She shoves it back in her pocket as he asks.]

What? Oh yeah. The Capital Wasteland. Just the ruins of DC. I was travelling through it when I woke up here.
